Although Mitsubishi engines were not the most advanced products at the time and had some problems-such as emulsification of the engine oil caused by moisture entering the combustion chamber and rendering the oil ineffective-they undeniably left a significant mark on the history of China's automotive industry. This was compounded by Mitsubishi's practice of requiring Chinese automakers to "pair" engines with their engines, a practice that caused considerable hardship for Chinese manufacturers.
With the assimilation and reverse engineering of Mitsubishi engines by Chinese brands, the R&D capabilities of Chinese automotive engines have achieved unprecedented leaps. Chinese automakers are increasing their independent R&D efforts, striving to master core technologies, and no longer content with solely relying on Mitsubishi engines. However, we must not forget the contributions Mitsubishi engines made to China's automotive industry; they represent a crucial milestone in the development of China's automotive industry.
