As the heart of a car, the engine has always been a top priority for automakers. In today's society, with ever-increasing environmental, economic, and power requirements, the demands on engine technology are becoming increasingly stringent. It's no wonder that major automakers place such emphasis on developing new engine technologies.

Carburetor engines draw gasoline in at the carburetor in the intake manifold, mix it with air, atomize it to form an air-fuel mixture, and then enter the cylinder through the valves. Electronic fuel injection engines inject gasoline in the intake manifold, before the valves, and then the gasoline enters the cylinder through the valves. Direct injection engines inject gasoline directly into the cylinder. Therefore, the major difference between the three types of gasoline engines worldwide lies in the location of the gasoline outlet; different locations indicate different technologies.

The principle of direct injection engines: The main difference between direct injection engines (cylinder-injected gasoline engines) and ordinary gasoline engines lies in the location of gasoline injection. Currently, the gasoline electronic injection system used in ordinary gasoline engines injects gasoline into the intake manifold or intake pipe, mixes it with air to form a mixture, and then enters the cylinder combustion chamber through the intake valve to be ignited and do work. As the name suggests, cylinder-injected gasoline engines inject gasoline directly into the cylinder. It installs the fuel injector in the combustion chamber, injecting gasoline directly into the cylinder combustion chamber. Air enters the combustion chamber through the intake valve to mix with the gasoline to form a mixture that is ignited and does work. This form is similar to that of direct injection diesel engines. Therefore, some people believe that cylinder-injected gasoline engines are an innovation that transplants the form of diesel engines to gasoline engines.
